Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is a far-reaching and ambitious plan that aims to transform the country’s economy and reduce its dependency on oil revenues. At the heart of this vision is the recognition that businesses play a pivotal role in driving economic diversification and achieving the vision’s objectives. However, this transformative journey is riddled with talent and people-related challenges that businesses need to address effectively.

The purpose of this paper is to delve into these challenges, offering insights and solutions to aid businesses, HR professionals, and policymakers in Saudi Arabia. By exploring the impact of these challenges on both businesses and the broader context of Vision 2030, we aim to provide practical guidance for navigating this complex terrain.

The methodology employed in this study combines qualitative and quantitative research methods to obtain a comprehensive understanding of talent and people challenges in Saudi Arabia’s business landscape. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with key stakeholders, including CEOs, HR professionals, and employees from various sectors. Additionally, surveys were distributed to collect data on specific challenges and their repercussions.
The research focused on a diverse sample of businesses operating across different industries within Saudi Arabia. This data collection process extended over six months, allowing for real-time insights into the evolving challenges faced by these organizations.
